My name is Caroline, and I would love to tell you a little about my fabric shop. Caroline’s Cottage Cottons is located in the historic lake community of Rome City, Indiana. My shop is in a little brick home that was built in 1870. Constructed from native Oak wood and Georgia clay bricks, my family and I restored this home to its original condition in 2007, with the desire to complement the new prints and reproduction fabrics that I so dearly love.
We currently offer over 700 bolts of fabrics, wools and Homespuns. Moda, Thimbleberries, P&B Textiles, Maywood Studios, Benartex, and Marcus Brothers, make up our primary line of fabrics however, we do carry many other choices. Reproduction fabrics are one of my passions, so we carry a variety of prints from the Civil War, 1920’s and 1930’s. A large assortment of quilting supplies, books, patterns, Batiks, Fat Quarters and Fat Quarter Bundles are always available.
Classes are offered each month with an interest on quilting projects that encourage variety and individuality. We have a growing Thimbleberries Club which meets monthly, featuring the Buck-A-Block project. We do offer several different meeting times to accommodate all participants in our quilting classes. In most cases our class size is kept to no more than six participants at any one time to allow for maximum teaching and interaction. I love to teach and I personally want to give my full attention to every question and challenge that each class member may have. This allows learning for both of us!
Caroline’s Cottage Cottons is located west of State Road 9, directly behind the Limberlost Public Library. From State Road 9 (which runs North and South), turn west on Washington Street and Right on Weston. Look for our sign on the corner and the little brick cottage. Parking is in front.
Thank you for visiting my Website. I look forward to meeting you in my shop and I am eager to help with any project you may have or want to start. |
